Quad A: Bell looks towards the future of vertical lift
Bell Helicopter is bracing itself for some potentially difficult years as the company looks to offset declining US military revenue with increased international sales.
The V-22 tiltrotor hit its peak in production in 2013 with 41 aircraft delivered – this will drop to 36 in 2014 and 21 the following year – while the company has now been issued formal stop work notices by the army for its work on the OH-58F under the Cockpit and Sensor Upgrade Program (CASUP).
