Sea Skua / AS15 replacement work progressing
Work to develop a new lightweight anti-ship missile for the French and British Navies is progressing.
The Future Anti-Surface Guided Weapon (FASGW) or Anti-Navire Leger (ANL), as it is known in France, is being developed for use by both nations for fitment on the NH90 and Panther shipboard helicopters of the French Navy and the Wildcat (Future Lynx) of the Royal Navy.
The weapon, being developed by Team Complex Weapons, led by MBDA is due to enter service in around 2015.
