Twin FMS deals support ballistic missile defence in Saudi Arabia and UAE
Saudi Arabia and the UAE are requesting missile defence equipment from the US under the FMS programme.
AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, announced today that the airline will relocate to Terminal 6 at Los Angeles International Airport in Los Angeles, Calif., effective September 5, 2008. In Terminal 6 the airline's flights will depart from Gate 69A, moving from the airline's current location in Terminal 3.
AirTran Airways provides nonstop flights between Los Angeles and Atlanta, Ga. The airline also connects to 53 destinations through Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
"Los Angeles is an important city for AirTran Airways' business travelers, and southern California remains one of the country's most popular vacation destinations," said Tad Hutcheson, vice president of marketing and sales for AirTran Airways. "We outgrew our space in Terminal 3. Our new location in Terminal 6 will be beneficial for our customers, providing a larger space for improved comfort."
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is the third busiest airport in the U.S. The airport handles thousands of domestic and international commercial flights through eight terminals every year.
