V4 member states plan more joint procurement
Following the recent decision to jointly procure ammunition for their armed forces, the four NATO allies in the Visegrad Group — the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia (V4) — aim to extend their cooperation by acquiring more sophisticated weapon systems.
‘In January 2021 the V4 National Armaments Directors signed a Letter of Intent, which officially expresses the intention of the V4 countries to jointly procure ammunition and launches the implementation of this project,’ the Polish MoD confirmed for Shephard.
