Spanish Army releases tender to procure SF vehicle
Spain is running a competition to procure the Light Vehicle for Special Operations (VLOE in Spanish) as the country progresses efforts to improve the mobility of its SF.
The tender was announced on 17 July on the Public Sector Hiring Platform website, earmarking about €4 million ($4.4 million) to acquire VLOE.
VLOE will replace variants of the in-service Nissan ML-6 and will be delivered from this year until 2022.
Although the tender did not specify the number of vehicles that will be procured, Shephard understands that the army will acquire 20-30 platforms.
