IDEX 2015 (video): Oto Melara unveils Forty Light
Oto Melara has launched a new 40mm naval weapon system at IDEX 2015.
The Forty Light is a weapon system appropriate as a main armament for small and medium vessels, or as a secondary armament for frigates and larger ships as there is no deck penetration, unlike the company’s current 40mm weapon system.
‘We did not reinvent anything, most of the sub components of the system are derived from our production, particularly the 40mm and the 30mm,’ explained Alberto Brava, Regional Manager at Oto Melara.
