AFSOC seeks advanced SERE training
US Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) is seeking advanced Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE) training for elements of its 6th Special Operations Squadron (6 SOS). The scope of the AFSOC training requirement was outlined in an RfI issued on 18 April 2019.
According to the RfI, 6 SOS Combat Aviation Advisors (CAAs) “deploy all over the globe in austere environments and are exposed to non-traditional methods for travel, housing, and potentially captivity.” As a result, the unit’s SERE specialists “must remain relevant and highly specialized in any tactics, techniques, or procedures (TTPs) that will attribute to successful
