AUVSI 2013: Battle for LMAMS contract heats up
Companies preparing their bids for the US Army’s upcoming Lethal Miniature Aerial Munitions System (LMAMS) programme, used the AUVSI Unmanned Systems exhibition this week to showcase their offerings.
The programme, expected to be established by 2015-16, seeks to procure an autonomous loitering munition for precision targeting. Both Lockheed Martin and Textron, with their Terminator and Battlehawk Systems respectively, are planning on bidding for LMAMS when it comes to fruition.
