Northrop Grumman: Euro Hawk still alive
Northrop Grumman's president for aerospace systems, Tom Vice, has reaffirmed his company’s hopes to revive Germany’s flailing Euro Hawk programme.
Addressing a press conference in Washington DC on 20 August, Vice described how the programme was ‘continuing to make great progress’, adding that Northrop Grumman continued to work with its German customer.
However, 15 May saw the German government inform its defence select committee of plans to shut down the programme, which had seen only a single Euro Hawk demonstrator involved in a series of trials in Germany since mid-2011.
