Serbia unveils new Chinese-made CH-92A UAV
Serbia has shown off a fleet of new fixed-wing CH-92A UAVs bought from China for the first time.
In a 4 July presentation held at the Batajnica Air Base, President Aleksandar Vučić confirmed that six of the systems have been acquired in addition to 18 missiles, thereby enabling a strike capability.
The deal distinguishes Serbia as the first country from the Balkans region to introduce armed UAVs. The CH-92As can be equipped with FT-8 air-to-surface missiles which are capable of engaging threats up to nine km.
