Poland formally commissions Warmate
The Polish Territorial Defence Forces are in the process of integrating the Warmate loitering munition, some four years after the original order was placed with manufacturer WB Group.
Warmate was commissioned by the Polish Armed Forces ‘in accordance with an order given on 13 January 2021’, Col Marek Pietrzak confirmed last month.
According to Shephard Defence Insight, the original Warmate order was for about 100 units, each comprising ten platforms, for a total of PLN100 million ($27 million).
