Polish F-35A infrastructure may need more attention as F-16 upgrade looms
The head of the Polish Ministry of National Defence (MND), Mariusz Blaszczak, announced last month that the first squadron of future Polish F-35A Lightning II aircraft will be stationed at the 32nd Tactical Air Base in Łask.
Meanwhile, the MND is preparing to launch an MLU for its fleet of 48 of F-16C/D Block 52+ multirole fighters.
Łask currently hosts one squadron of F-16C/Ds but there are no plans to move them — for now, at least.
‘Both an F-16 squadron and an F-35A squadron are planned to be deployed at the Łask AFB,’ an MND official explained to Shephard
