Raytheon picks up new AMRAAM contract
The US Department of Defense announced on 4 March a $74 million contract award to Raytheon Missiles & Defense to integrate AMRAAM missiles with current and future USAF aircraft.
The notice mentions support for AMRAAM integration with several fighters currently in the USAF inventory (F-15, F-16, FA-18, F-22, F-35), but it also states that this contract will provide the 'necessary aircraft lab, flight test, flight clearance and simulation support during all integration requirements for next-generation platforms that may join the Air Force or Navy inventory before the end of fiscal year 2029'.
