Danish SF to acquire nano UAVs
Danish special forces are looking to improve their tactical intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities with the acquisition of nano unmanned aerial systems (NUAS).
Tender documents reveal that the NUAS will be used ‘to obtain intelligence of enemy activities in unobserved closed areas when deployed in missions’. It will be fitted with day-night sensors allowing an operator to detect and observe personnel, vehicles and equipment.
The Danish military will establish a seven-year framework agreement with a contractor for the acquisition of a military-off-the-shelf product as well as spare parts, training courses and repair services.
