Greek SF to use Viking boats
Viking Life-Saving Equipment has won its second competitive tender from the Hellenic Armed Forces in the space of three months, with a contract to provide Munin S1200 craft for Greek SF.
Designed to operate for extended periods away from land or its mother ship, the 12x3.5m (length x depth) V-hull boats will support SF in tactical manouevres, patrol and SAR operations.
No details were disclosed on the value of the contract or the number of Munin S1200s to be provided.
In April, the Hellenic Navy ordered 11 METIS RIBs for SAR, to be manufactured at Viking Life-Saving Equipment’s facility in Greece.
