SHOT Show: Daniel Defense introduces new rifles (video)
Daniel Defense will introduce two new rifles this year including a short-barrelled 5.56mm product and a lightweight 7.62mm rifle, both of which could see potential use with special forces.
The new 5.56mm rifle is called the V7S and features a free floating 11.5" barrel, along with M-LOK attachment technology with the company's MFR XS 10.0 rail.
The V7S is an evolution of the company's existing V7, which features a 16" barrel. The short barrel version of the rifle has already seen some usage with law enforcement and will be available later this year.
The weapon has a continuous Picatinny rail
