SOFINS: French SF showcase new tactical vehicle
The French Military's Special Operations Command (COS) is showcasing its new Special Forces Heavy Weight (PLFS) tactical vehicle at SOFINS, in Souge.
The new vehicle was approved for delivery by the French General Directorate of Armament (DGA) on 30 January 2017, with the first examples of a preliminary batch of 25 vehicles being delivered to the COS on 1 February 2017.
Developed in just 13 months, following the attribution of a new Special Forces (SF) vehicles contract to Renault Trucks Defense (RTD) by the DGA, the PFLS is based on the RTD Sherpa Light family but features a number
