Trials loom for VICTA craft
SubSea Craft intends to launch trials of its VICTA diver delivery system.
‘Over the past two years the company has harnessed novel, market-leading technology to bring the vessel to life and VICTA is now in fit-out ahead of comprehensive trials and testing across the summer,’ the UK-based company announced on 10 July.
At the same time, SubSea Craft is seeking second-stage investment to enhance working capital profiles, strengthen the brand, expand its offering and ‘inflitrate other sectors’, potentially including the research and offshore energy sectors.
The VICTA delivery unit offers the speed and endurance of a long-range insertion craft with the stealth and capacity of a swimmer delivery vehicle. It can travel up to 250nm at speeds of up to 40kt on the surface, and 25nm at 6-8kt when submerged.
VICTA can deploy and recover up to eight operatives (two crew and six divers).
